A Benefit Concert For Ukraine

March 8, 2022 @ 7:00 p.m. | In response to the unfolding humanitarian crisis in Europe, Chamber Music | OC invites you to a special virtual benefit concert on Tuesday, March 8th. 100% of the proceeds will go to United Ukrainian American Relief Committee, Inc. (ЗУАДК). Featured artists will include violinists Iryna Krechkovsky (Trio Céleste), Marta Krechkovsky (Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra), GRAMMY-winning pianist Nadia Shpachenko (Cal Poly Pomona), Marisa Gupta (international concert pianist), the Endpin Cello Choir, and members of Chamber Music | OC’s Pre-College Program.

I will be performing Sonata No. 6 by Yuri Ishchenko at this event to raise funds for Ukraine humanitarian aid. Yuri Yakovlevich Ishchenko was a great composer and close friend, he lived, composed and taught in Kyiv, he passed away in May 2021. He wrote this Sonata for me in 2006, right after the Orange Revolution in Ukraine. RIP, Yuri Yakovlevich. More details on how to support this are coming soon. 100% of donations will go to United Ukrainian American Relief Committee, Inc. (ЗУАДК) and will be used for the purchase of medical supplies, food and water.
